About The Position

V2X Professional Services (VPS) is seeking an Automotive Instructor to facilitate Interactive Distance Learning (PC based) and Instructor Led Training courses for Mazda Dealership Technicians in a training center setting. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, adaptable to new challenges, and capable of completing tasks with minimal direction, including independent study to stay current with technology. Previous dealership and Instructor/Facilitator experience is preferred. This position is based in Schaumburg, IL. ASE Certification and Mazda experience are desired but not required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years automotive technician experience
  • Strong knowledge of intricate automotive systems
  • Advanced automotive systems diagnostic skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work skillfully with highly technical diagnostic equipment, including Scan Tools, Lab Scopes, DVOMs, Air Conditioning Recycling Equipment, Vibration Diagnostic Equipment, etc.
  • Ability to work well with both customers and co-workers in a team environment
  • Intermediate computer skills, including the use of the internet, Microsoft Office products and email
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing situations and work environments
  • Excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills
  • Must be able to work independently and effectively at a satellite training facility

Nice To Haves

  • Previous dealership experience
  • Previous Instructor/Facilitator experience
  • Two years automotive instructor experience
  • Previous Mazda dealership experience
  • OEM Master Technician Certification (domestic or import)
  • ASE Certifications
  • ASE Certification is desired
  • Mazda experience is desired

Responsibilities
