About The Position

Delta World Tire is an independent tire dealer that also provides automotive repair and preventative maintenance. The General Service Technician performs non-technical service repairs, including oil changes, tire and wheel services, alignments, and flushes. The technician works alongside ASE-certified automotive technicians and receives training to support career development toward becoming a certified ASE Automotive Technician. Compensation is $15–$18 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

• Ability to work Monday through Saturday.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, motor vehicle record check, and criminal background check.
• High level of motivation and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous automotive experience is preferred.
• An energetic, hard-working attitude and a passion for cars.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport customers to and from their residence or business using a company vehicle.
• Pick up parts, supplies, tires, and other items from vendors or the corporate office using a company vehicle.
• Operate the company vehicle safely and courteously while obeying traffic laws.
• Conduct State Safety and Emission Inspections ethically and in accordance with company and state guidelines.
• Mount and dismount tires, balance wheels, and rotate tires.
• Perform oil changes and other basic services as directed by the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• Observe general vehicle condition while performing basic services and report obvious needed repairs or safety concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• Document vehicle condition using the company’s Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the shop, including the service area, tire racks, showroom, and exterior of the building.
• Follow safety procedures and report safety concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
