About The Position

Oregon Department of Administrative Services (DAS) Salem, Oregon DAS is looking for an Automotive Fleet Attendant to help keep Oregon’s state vehicles clean, safe, and ready to use. In this job, you will prepare vehicles for customers, handle basic maintenance tasks, and help support the daily operations of the fleet.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license from the state where you live and ability to maintain a safe driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic automotive knowledge, such as checking fluids, identifying worn components, and noticing unusual vehicle noises or issues.
  • Clear, professional communication and effective customer service skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully within a team environment.
  • Ability to work safely and consistently follow established procedures and policies.
  • Reliability, strong attention to detail, and pride in work.

Responsibilities

  • Clean, wash, and prepare vehicles for rentals and assigned users
  • Fuel vehicles and help customers with fueling questions and procedures
  • Move and shuttle vehicles as needed
  • Pick up and deliver parts and supplies
  • Check fluids, tires, lights, wipers, and other basic safety items
  • Keep work areas, equipment, and parking lots clean and organized
