About The Position

We offer home, auto and accident and health insurance, as well as other specialty niche insurance products, through a large network of independent insurance agents, as well as directly to consumers. This is a remote, field-based position supporting the Wilmington, NC market, including New Hanover, Brunswick, Pender, and Duplin counties. Candidates must reside within or near the assigned territory. Regular local travel is required to inspect vehicles, meet with customers, and work with repair facilities and body shops. Willingness to travel as needed in support of CAT response efforts and increased claim volume.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of body shop, collision repair, or automotive repair experience with strong vehicle knowledge.
• Ability to assess vehicle damage and communicate repair recommendations effectively with customers and repair facilities.
• Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage an independent schedule, prioritize workload, and work effectively in a field-based environment.
• Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Candidates must reside within or near the assigned territory.
• Candidates must possess authorization to work in the United States, as it is not our practice to sponsor individuals for work visas.

Nice To Haves

• Claims experience and CCC ONE proficiency are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for creating or auditing a comprehensive estimate of damages for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims in either the auto or specialty lines leading to the proper disposition.
• Responsible for training, mentoring, controlling quality and providing technical assistance on material damage claims.
• Possesses strong estimating fundamentals in order to create or audit estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses of all severities.
• Possesses a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company.
• Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files across multiple lines.
• Evaluates settlement alternatives by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair claims practices; makes decisions on best option.
• Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers across multiple lines.
