About The Position

Dent Wizard is the nation’s undisputed leader in automotive reconditioning services and vehicle protection products. As an Interior Technician, your essential job functions include providing mobile repairs for auto dealerships, auction houses and other customers at a fixed site or on a route. You’ll repair rips, tears, and burns; mix dyes to match surfaces; and remove stains. Your goal is to make a detailed car’s inside look as new as possible and ready for sale. Because you’ll be on site with our customers, you also need to have the sales and communication skills to build relationships and drive business. This role involves performing interior component installation, upholstery work, and interior trim and finishing. Additionally, you will be responsible for quality control and service excellence, interacting with customers and documenting interior conditions. You will also serve as an SME Technician for the Division, responding to service requests and maintaining records of work performed. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience.
  • Knowledge of automotive safety regulations and interior specifications.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently.
  • Toughness and grit to work outside in all kinds of weather.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Frequent standing, kneeling, bending, and squatting.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational or technical training in automotive interior installation and upholstery is preferred.
  • Previous experience in automotive or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform interior component and installation, including seats, dashboards, carpets, headliners, door panels, and trim pieces.
  • Ensure that all components are securely and correctly positioned.
  • Upholster seats, door panels, and other interior components with appropriate materials, such as fabric, leather, and vinyl.
  • Repair or replace damaged upholstery.
  • Install, repair, or replace interior trim pieces, such as moldings, dashboard accents, and center consoles.
  • Ensure a clean and polished finish on interior surfaces.
  • Interact with customers, automotive services advisors, and other management to address interior-related concerns and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Document the condition of interior components and report any defects or issues.
  • Respond promptly to service requests and assist customers in interior issues.
  • Maintain records of work performed, including repairs, replacements, and installations.
