Our Automotive Equipment Technicians perform diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of a diversified fleet of vehicles and other motorized/non-motorized equipment. This role involves operating and maintaining all motor vehicles and motor-driven tools, disbursing gasoline, and cleaning, lubricating, and painting motor vehicles. A key part of the job is performing preventative maintenance, including inspections, adjustments, repairs, and overhauls on associated equipment such as brakes, electrical systems, ignition, cooling systems, transmissions, and construction trailers. Technicians are expected to maintain ongoing working knowledge of new technology and service procedures related to automobiles and heavy equipment. They will also repair, service, and test electrical and hydraulic powered equipment like aerial lifts, generators, pumps, winches, specialized underground equipment, and compressors. The role includes receiving, recording, and analyzing reports of trouble, categorizing repair requests by priority, and preparing recommended workloads. Ordering parts, maintaining inventory, estimating repair costs, negotiating and contracting service repairs with outside agencies/vendors, and evaluating their performance are also responsibilities. Minor body damage repair may be required. Technicians will use standard and major automotive tools, power tools, welding equipment, and associated written materials. Additionally, they will promote AT&T as the premier provider of choice and perform other comparable duties as assigned, while using and wearing appropriate safety equipment and following established safety practices.
