About The Position

Enterprise Mobility is hiring a full-time Automotive Detailer and Car Washer at Rockford Airport in Rockford, Illinois. The position pays $15 per hour based on a 40-hour work week. The detailer washes, cleans, sanitizes, inspects, fuels, and prepares cars, trucks, and vans to meet the company’s cleanliness and safety standards for customer rentals. The role also includes maintaining the branch’s appearance, assisting customers, and occasionally transporting customers to and from branches. The regular weekday schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with work every other weekend on Saturday and Sunday. Enterprise Mobility describes a total rewards package that includes paid time off, holidays, insurance coverage, employee discounts, a retirement plan, training and development, and the potential for a $0.50-per-hour increase after six months of service and successful performance.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have a valid driver's license with no more than two moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on the driving record in the past three years.
Must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require work authorization sponsorship from the company now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interiors according to industry-standard protocols.
Wash, clean, and dry vehicle exteriors, including cars, vans, and trucks of different sizes.
Check fuel levels and warning lights; inspect windshields for damage; reset vehicle settings to clear prior customer data; check for customer belongings and place valuables in Lost & Found; and verify that vehicle registration is present, current, and matches the license plate.
Check fluid levels and add fluids as needed; inspect tire condition, pressure, and tread depth; and inspect vehicle exteriors for damage.
Fuel and stage vehicles.
Inspect vehicles for safety concerns and report warning lights or vehicle, windshield, or tire damage; remove vehicles from the preparation process when necessary.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area and report unsafe or hazardous conditions.
Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines and air purifiers to remove stains, pet hair, and odors.
Assist customers when needed and, occasionally, transport customers to and from branches.
Help maintain the appearance of branch locations, including cleaning desks, countertops, phones, floors, and bathrooms; removing trash; vacuuming and sweeping the lot; and completing other daily cleanliness tasks.
Improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting.
Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
