About The Position

The Automotive Detail Technician cleans and reconditions vehicles to meet customer and pre-delivery requirements. The role involves washing vehicles, cleaning and protecting interior and exterior surfaces, applying protective sealants, and refurbishing headlights. The technician maintains service tools and equipment and helps uphold the organization’s service standards and quality. Work is primarily performed in a garage or outdoors as part of a team in a fast-paced environment; work at nearby job sites may be required. Weekend availability is required. Compensation is listed as $3,000–$4,000 per month, base plus commission, though the structure may vary by location.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Wash vehicles using a pressure washer and automatic washer.
Remove interior trash and clean upholstery, carpet, and other surfaces using cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices.
Apply wax to vehicle bodies and wipe or buff surfaces to protect them and preserve their shine.
Apply protective sealant.
Refurbish headlights.
Maintain the organization’s service standards and quality.
Understand and meet specific customer requirements.
Thoroughly inspect vehicles for pre-delivery.
Maintain the proper function of service tools and equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
