About The Position

Ron Marhofer Auto Family is a high-volume leader in the Northeast Ohio automotive market, known for its exceptional guest experience and integrity. As a multiple-time GMC Dealer of the Year, the dealership is seeking a motivated, coachable, and quick-learning professional to join their team as an Automotive Sales BDC (Business Development Center) Manager. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in automotive sales or internet lead management who is looking for a clear path to management. The position involves managing, supervising, and executing guest communications via phone, internet, and text, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience from the first interaction. The BDC Manager will oversee a team of BDC representatives and work directly with top leadership in a thriving dealership group.

Requirements

  • Proven success in automotive internet sales, BDC representation, or dealership guest-facing roles.
  • Highly motivated, eager to learn, coachable, and hungry for career advancement into dealership management.
  • Excellent, clear, and empathetic verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with automotive CRM systems and dealership management software (DMS).
  • A natural ability to motivate a team and hold individuals accountable to performance targets.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and guide the BDC team to ensure all inbound and outbound inquiries (calls, web forms, emails, and chat) are handled promptly, professionally, and courteously.
  • Train staff in guest-facing communication, including proper phone scripts, appointment setting, and follow-up strategies.
  • Set goals, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and monitor lead conversion and appointment-show ratios.
  • Listen to live and recorded calls to constantly improve the quality of guest interactions.
  • Work closely with the sales floor and management teams to ensure a seamless transition from the first point of contact to an in-person showroom visit.
