About The Position

The Automotive Apprentice Technician works alongside an assigned technician to learn how to perform quality vehicle maintenance and repairs. The role assists the assigned technician and performs safety inspections, oil changes, lubrication work, basic maintenance, and minor repairs as directed. No prior experience is necessary; training is provided.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and a motor vehicle record acceptable to the company's insurance carrier.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small-group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• No experience is necessary; the employer is willing to train.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside an assigned technician to learn vehicle service maintenance and repairs.
• Assist the assigned technician as needed.
• Perform safety inspections, oil changes, lubrication work, basic maintenance, and minor repairs as directed.
