About The Position

This role is responsible for leading the customer team for OEM and Tier 1 customers within the Nucor Sheet Mill Group's Automotive sector. The position involves prospecting and developing new business opportunities with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and Service Centers. The Automotive Account Manager will communicate commercial and supply chain requirements and activities across Nucor, participate in and negotiate long-term customer contracts, and ensure all commercial needs of Automotive customers are met. A strong understanding of Nucor's unique cost and market pricing structures is essential, as is the ability to coordinate supply chain relationships pertinent to OEM and Tier 1 customers. Safety is paramount, and candidates must demonstrate a commitment to upholding safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

• 4 year undergraduate degree
• Must report to Nucor Southfield, MI sales office
• Appropriate travel and customer entertainment

Responsibilities

• Lead Customer team for OEM and Tier 1 customer base for Nucor Sheet Mill Group
• Prospect and develop new OEM, Tier 1 and Service Center related Automotive business
• Communicate Automotive commercial and supply chain requirements and activities across Nucor
• Participate in and negotiate multi-faceted long term customer contracts
• Lead and communicate customer feedback throughout Nucor and the supply chain
• Coordinate supply chain relationships as it relates to OEM and Tier 1 customers
• Ensure all commercial needs of the Automotive customer are being met
• Uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards
