About The Position

LEHR, a provider of mission-critical vehicle upfitting solutions for police, fire, utility, and other essential fleets, is seeking an Automotive 12V Install Technician with wiring experience and a strong work ethic. The role involves building, wiring, repairing, customizing, and installing electronics and emergency equipment in vehicles.

The position is full-time and hourly, with a Monday–Thursday schedule from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, at 546 West Scott Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37921. Compensation is $18+ per hour, depending on experience, with bonus potential after satisfactorily completing the initial training period. Overtime opportunities are available.

Requirements

• Proven 12V experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to work with hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and hand drills.
• Ability to bend, twist, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment.
• Valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Aptitude in mechanical, electrical, and electronic components from various sources.

Responsibilities

• Remove factory-installed interior and exterior vehicle components.
• Install emergency vehicle equipment, including light bars, sirens, speakers, push bumpers, and partitions.
• Install cameras, computers, and license plate recognition systems.
• Perform 12V electrical wiring and system installations.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace.
• Organize tools and inventory.
