About The Position

This role involves supporting and cooperating with production personnel to ensure efficient equipment operation. The technician will perform preventative maintenance on all production equipment, create and monitor work orders for scheduled repairs and parts tracking, and troubleshoot and repair equipment support systems and components such as conveyor belts and motors. The position also assists in new equipment installation, equipment rebuilds, and backfilling positions to cover vacations and time off on other shifts, as well as providing coverage to all plant lines during working hours. Experience with brands like Allen Bradley, SIEMENS, and SEW is required, along with PLC programming and troubleshooting, and HMI troubleshooting.

Requirements

Ability to use machine shop equipment (punch press, mills, lathe, grinder and hand tools).
Proficient SAP skills.
Basic Microsoft Office skills (Office, Excel, Power Point).
Good written and oral communication.
Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings.
Work with brands such as Allen Bradley, SIEMENS, and SEW.
Conduct PLC programing and troubleshooting.
Conduct HMI troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Follow and perform preventative maintenance on all production equipment.
Create/monitor work orders as necessary to allow scheduled repair(s) and parts tracking/availability.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment support systems and components in a timely manner (e.g., conveyor belts, motors, grinders).
Assist in new equipment installation and equipment rebuilds.
Assist in back filling positions as needed to cover vacations and time off on other shifts.
Help provide coverage during working hours to all lines within the plant.
Conduct PLC programing and troubleshooting.
Conduct HMI troubleshooting.
Other duties as assigned.
