Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 4+ years’ experience
  • Mechanic certification and completion of a Technical School, Vocational School, or Community College
  • Varies depending on job site travel
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Ability to operate and interpret results from a variety of diagnostic tools.
  • Highly proficient in automated and mechanical systems maintenance.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting automation, electronic, and mechanical control systems.
  • Submit to and satisfactorily complete pre-employment background, medical, alcohol, and drug screening
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License
  • Able and willing to work a rotating shift schedule that includes nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime (if applicable)
  • Able and willing to work in inclement weather, climb structures, perform work at heights, and in enclosed spaces
  • Able and willing to work both independently in remote locations and in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience in process instrumentation and SCADA systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all levels of maintenance, repairs, overhauls, and upgrades on automated and mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose automation equipment, mechanical system failures, and electronic control issues with minimal supervision.
  • Operate diagnostic tools and reference materials to identify and resolve problems effectively.
  • Optimize equipment performance through proactive maintenance, calibration, and adjustments.
  • Coordinate equipment, parts, and job requirements with supervisors and managers to ensure timely and accurate delivery for projects.
  • Load/unload, inspect, and prepare equipment for transport and job site use.
  • Perform routine maintenance on pumps, forklifts, cranes, trailers, and related equipment.
  • Support rig up/rig down operations and assist field personnel when needed.
  • Complete all required documentation including JSAs, maintenance forms, near-hit reports, and incident investigations.
  • Maintain compliance with company, client, and industry safety and environmental policies, initiating hazard recognition and corrective actions as necessary.
  • Source and coordinate materials, parts, and services from vendors, ensuring cost-effective procurement.
  • Provide training, guidance, and technical support to less experienced personnel.
  • Stay current on advanced pump, automation theory, SCADA, and process instrumentation.
  • Maintain shop work areas in a clean, organized, and secure condition.
