Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to communicate effectively with employees and managers.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in writing, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Must be able to read, write and understand instructions, warnings, labels and postings in English effectively.
Must exceed all "B" Mechanical Qualification.
Working knowledge of power tools.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain all plant and facility support equipment, including but not limited to ammonia refrigeration system, HVAC systems, Steam system, etc.
Perform all Electrical and Mechanical Troubleshooting.
Attend IPM 10-Minute Meetings as assigned.
Write Work Orders on Issues discussed in IPM 10 Minute Meetings.
Follow and adhere to Lock – Out / Tag – Out procedures at all times.
Respond to radio calls in a timely manner.
Assist with keeping the plant running as smooth as possible while working on maintenance projects and performing PM task.
Recognize waste and recommend initiatives for elimination or reduction.
Clean all maintenance work areas at the end of the shift.
Perform Preventive Maintenance on equipment scheduled through PMC.
Write special or new Part Requests.
Repair of equipment scheduled through PMC.
Search for parts in the PMC system.
Write and make status changes to Work Orders in PMC.
Issue parts out of inventory.
Ensure the parts used are issued to the equipment in which they were used.
Ensure safe work practices.
Write work orders as needed.
Maintain proper documentation of plant equipment.
Adhere to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards as well as HACCP compliance and other food safety and workplace safety initiatives.
Follow attendance policy.
Observe department call-in procedures.
Exhibit timely arrival and departure and dependable time habits including meal and other breaks.
Maintain a positive attitude and get along well with coworkers.
Exhibit teamwork and willingness to help others.
Follow dress code and maintain a professional appearance.
Be relied upon to complete assigned tasks.
Comply with established Departmental and Organizational policies and procedures.
Work within a team environment to meet/exceed established production standards.
