This role is a 12-hr rotating shift, 2-2-3, 745pm to 8am JOB SUMMARY Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated manufacturing equipment and systems during night shifts (D Shift) to ensure continuous production and operational efficiency.

Requirements

Associate's degree in Automation Technology, Robotics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
3-5 years of experience as an Automation Technician in a manufacturing environment, preferably with plastics injection molding or similar automated processes.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and programming PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and HMI systems.
Strong understanding of electrical circuits, motor controls, sensors, and pneumatics.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to work the designated D Shift (night shift) schedule, which typically involves rotating 12-hour shifts.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions.

Nice To Haves

Experience with robotic systems (e.g., Fanuc, Yaskawa) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Perform routine preventative maintenance on automated production lines, robotics, and auxiliary equipment.
Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools.
Troubleshoot complex automation issues, including PLC programming, HMI interfaces, and sensor calibration.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify root causes of failures and implement corrective actions.
Assist in the installation, setup, and commissioning of new automation equipment.
Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and part replacements accurately in the CMMS system.
Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
Provide technical support and training to production operators on basic equipment operation and troubleshooting.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
