About The Position

CVS Health, a Fortune 4 company, is seeking an Automation Maintenance Technician for their 3rd shift Pharmacy Maintenance Team in Wilkes-Barre, PA. This role involves maintaining and troubleshooting the pharmacy’s automated systems, focusing on routine inspections of specialized machines. The technician will identify and resolve technical issues to meet production goals and quality expectations, directly impacting patients who rely on critical medications dispensed by the facility. This is a full-time position with guaranteed 40 hours per week, offering a starting pay of $33.77/hr with opportunities for advancement. CVS Health provides all necessary tools for the role.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of risk assessment skills including ability to understand a process and determine how a change can affect that process
  • 1+ years of project management skills with ability to multi-task & prioritize
  • 1+ years of performing Preventive Maintenance (PM) to automated manufacturing equipment and utilizing LOTO procedures
  • 1+ years of troubleshooting, repairing & maintaining automated equipment controlled by Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
  • Verifiable High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in medical, fulfillment center, warehouse or healthcare environments
  • Experience working in a regulated environment (ISO 9000, ISO 13485, FDA, Pharmaceutical or Medical Device)
  • A craft certification or other related certification/training

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting and maintenance for automation robotics, electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems in a sophisticated automated large volume pharmaceutical dispensing facility.
  • Conduct routine inspections of machines and systems to ensure optimal performance, such as troubleshooting electro-mechanical control systems and supporting the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based control systems.
  • Performing preventative maintenance on equipment, notifying the Manager of any concerns regarding major repairs needed or any additional equipment needed to support the pharmacy automation equipment, and maintaining a clean and safe work area for all employees.
  • Participate in training programs to stay updated on new technologies and procedures.
