  • Demonstrated technical leadership, project leadership, or people management experience
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams and influence technical decisions across disciplines
  • Strong understanding of automated measurement and sensing system integration, including calibration, accuracy, repeatability, and measurement uncertainty in industrial environments
  • Solid foundation in software engineering principles, data analysis, and documentation; proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with machine vision, laser-based measurement, displacement sensing, temperature sensing, force measurement, spectroscopy, or other industrial sensing technologies
  • Programming experience in C#, C++, Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, OpenCV, HALCON, or similar tools
  • Familiarity with vendor-based inspection/sensing platforms and PC-based measurement or automation software
  • Experience with data acquisition systems, industrial communications, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) interfacing, and controls integration
  • Optical or sensor modeling experience; background in manufacturing, automation, metrology, or industrial engineering environments

  • Lead and develop a team of engineers — setting priorities, coaching, delivering performance feedback, and supporting career growth, including hiring and onboarding new talent
  • Provide technical leadership across automated measurement methods, machine vision, sensing technologies, instrumentation, optics, data acquisition, and systems integration
  • Drive project execution — planning, scheduling, resource allocation, risk assessment, issue resolution, and communication of results and progress to peers and leadership
  • Oversee rapid prototyping, feasibility studies, and proof-of-concept development; review and approve technical designs, test methods, calibration approaches, and engineering documentation
  • Champion safe work practices and foster a team culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
