About The Position

We are seeking a hands-on Automation / Controls Engineer with strong Siemens PLC and SINAMICS drive experience to support a highly automated HFW pipe mill.

Requirements

  • 3+ years hands-on Siemens PLC programming & troubleshooting in a running production plant
  • Strong experience with both: Siemens S7-300/400 – Step 7 Classic and Siemens S7-1200/1500 – TIA Portal
  • Must have experience writing/changing PLC logic, configuring hardware, and using PLC diagnostic tools
  • 3+ years Siemens SINAMICS drive commissioning & troubleshooting, particularly G120/S120
  • Experience with multi-motor, speed-synchronized production lines
  • Experience with Starter/Startdrive, BICO, PROFINET/PROFIBUS, drive parameterization and fault diagnosis
  • 3+ years plant-based Controls Engineer / Controls or E&I Technician experience in heavy or continuous manufacturing
  • Proven breakdown-response experience tracing faults from electrical panel → PLC → network → HMI → drive → motor/field device
  • 2+ years PROFINET/PROFIBUS configuration and troubleshooting with ET 200 remote I/O
  • 2+ years Siemens WinCC HMI experience, including screens, alarms and trends
  • Must have participated in commissioning at least one new or retrofitted automated production line through automatic production/ramp-up

Responsibilities

  • Program, modify, troubleshoot and maintain Siemens PLC systems
  • Configure and troubleshoot Siemens SINAMICS drives and motion-control systems
  • Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, I/O, network, sensor, actuator and motor issues
  • Support production breakdowns and minimize equipment downtime
  • Configure and troubleshoot PROFINET/PROFIBUS networks and ET 200 I/O
  • Develop and maintain WinCC HMI applications
  • Read electrical schematics, control panel drawings and machine documentation
  • Support new equipment installation, commissioning, startup and production ramp-up
  • Perform controls upgrades, retrofits and continuous-improvement projects
  • Work closely with electrical, mechanical, maintenance and production teams
  • Provide technical support and training to maintenance personnel
