This position is responsible for assisting and operating Rolled form Equipment, Automated Welding Equipment Welding fabrication including all associated equipment/machinery. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 0 to 1+ years of experience
  • Keen attention to detail to ensure the highest quality and zero defects.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, adjust, and operate a variety of metal fabrication machinery, including roll forming lines, Automated Welding, shears, punch presses, and grinders.
  • Load, align, and secure raw materials (coils, sheets, blanks) or components into fabrication machinery and welding fixtures, ensuring optimal material flow and fit-up.
  • Perform tooling changeovers and install new dies, rollers, and welding consumables for different product runs and specifications.
  • Manage complex forming, cutting, and assembly operations according to engineering specifications and work orders.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering/assembly drawings, and work instructions to determine dimensional requirements and fabrication processes.
  • Conduct continuous, precise quality checks on formed, fabricated, and welded parts using precision measuring tools.
  • Identify, diagnose, and correct common defects, such as forming issues (twisting, crowning) and welding flaws (porosity, undercut, inadequate penetration).
  • Complete required production reports, quality checks, and inspection logs accurately and timely.
  • Works within a warehouse bench assembly environment.
  • Bolts, clamps, and tack welds parts to secure in position for welding.
  • May assemble parts by bolting and riveting.
  • Performs material handling duties.
  • Maintains compliance with company policies.
  • Maintains compliance with all OSHA, and company safety requirements.
  • Cleans and maintains tools, test equipment, and work area.
  • Attends company meetings as required by supervisor.
  • Identify ways to improve processes and participate in implementing those improvements.
  • Adhere to 5S principles ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
  • Able to perform repetitive tasks for an extended period of time.
  • Works under moderate supervision.
  • Change worn and or broken saw blades as required using proper PPE.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
