In a team-oriented work environment, under moderate supervision, this role assists with the set up and operation of autoclaves and auxiliary equipment to cure and bond metallic, fiberglass, and carbon fiber aircraft parts in a production environment. The position involves reading and interpreting electronic travel documents, selecting parts for simultaneous bonding, arranging bonding racks, and loading them into autoclaves. It also includes connecting thermocouples and vacuum lines, entering data into the autoclave's computerized operating system, and monitoring instruments to ensure conformance to specifications. The role also requires maintaining a clean work area, supporting FOD and 5S programs, complying with safety regulations, retrieving and preparing lay-up tools, and breaking down and cleaning tools after use. Additionally, the technician ensures parts, lab samples, and paperwork are processed correctly and performs other assigned duties.
