About The Position

Allied Modular Building Systems is seeking an experienced AutoCAD professional to join a new engineering initiative focused on design automation. This role is for someone who wants to be on the building side of technology, implementing design automation tools to generate accurate outputs from project parameters. The position involves working with geometry logic, parametric relationships, and rules-based modeling at scale, bridging strong AutoCAD and 3D modeling skills with an interest in programming and automation. This is not a drafting role; it requires a methodical approach to problem-solving and a strong understanding of spatial relationships.

Requirements

• 5 to 7 years of AutoCAD experience with genuine comfort in 3D space (X, Y, and Z geometry).
• An engineering degree or equivalent technical background.
• Some programming experience or a strong demonstrated aptitude for it (comfort with logic, variables, and methodical problem-solving in code).
• Ability to manage oneself well.
• Clear written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Implement design automation tools that generate accurate outputs from project parameters.
• Work with geometry logic, parametric relationships, and rules-based modeling at scale.
• Bridge strong AutoCAD and 3D modeling skills with programming and automation.
