About The Position

Lifetime Assistance is seeking a part-time Auto Technician for its Transportation Department in Rochester, New York. The position is 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., with weekends off. The starting wage is $21.55 per hour, and the role reports to the Supervisor, Fleet Coordinator.

The Auto Technician performs scheduled maintenance and repairs on agency vehicles, documents repair work, and develops and follows maintenance schedules based on mileage and time intervals. The role also involves maintaining and securing shop tools and the maintenance facility, driving transportation routes as assigned, and attending and maintaining required training certifications.

Requirements

• Some experience as an automotive mechanic.
• Ability to perform all essential duties satisfactorily.
• Must meet Lifetime Assistance’s Vehicle Operator Requirements.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to safety and quality service.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on agency vehicles.
• Complete all required documentation for each repair job.
• Develop and follow maintenance schedules based on mileage and time intervals.
• Maintain and secure all shop tools and the maintenance facility.
• Drive transportation routes as assigned by the Transportation Director or designee.
• Attend and maintain certifications in required training, including First Aid/CPR and C-Pat.
