Auto Shop Helper
About The Position
Caliber Collision is hiring an Auto Shop Helper to perform all-purpose duties that help keep the production area, facility, parking lots, and grounds clean and orderly. Duties include emptying waste cans, sweeping floors, disposing of unwanted parts, assisting with spray booth cleaning, returning tools and equipment to their proper locations, and performing minor equipment and building maintenance or repairs when necessary. The Auto Shop Helper follows Caliber’s Standard Operating Procedure and center procedures to support teammates in completing repairs in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under Caliber’s insurance policy.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions.
- Ability to perform consistent physical activity, including reaching below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, squatting, and lifting objects over 50 lbs.
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to prioritize competing tasks and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Previous collision experience.
- Collision Vo-Tech certification.
Responsibilities
- Maintain daily housekeeping in the production area, including emptying waste cans and sweeping floors.
- Dispose of unwanted parts.
- Assist in cleaning spray booths.
- Place tools and equipment in their proper locations.
- Keep parking lots and grounds neat and orderly.
- Perform minor equipment and building maintenance or repairs when necessary.
- Follow Caliber’s Standard Operating Procedure and center procedures.
