Auto Product Training & Certificate Manager
About The Position
The Auto Product Training and Certificate Manager oversees training on Toyota and Lexus vehicles for dealership staff, manages the certification program, and serves as a subject matter expert on vehicle product information and technology. The role plans and delivers new-model launch training and provides ongoing product and technology training on the full Toyota and Lexus lineup. It develops and distributes training materials, attends manufacturer training, and provides dealerships and Product Managers with accurate, timely responses to product and technology questions. The manager also maintains the sales consultant certification program, tracks class attendance, and works with dealers to build knowledgeable sales teams. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Automotive, Business, or Engineering.
- At least four years of automotive industry work experience.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Excellent teamwork, organizational, and strategic planning skills.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of experience working in a supervisory capacity.
- One year of experience working as a trainer.
- ASE Certification.
- Proficiency with Photoshop and Adobe Acrobat.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute new-model launch training so employees understand new models’ features, specifications, benefits, and competitive advantages.
- Provide year-round product and technology training to new and existing employees on the full Toyota and Lexus model lineup.
- Develop relevant training materials and distribute them to dealership and sales staff.
- Attend manufacturer training to serve as the Product Expert for Toyota and Lexus vehicles.
- Provide dealerships and Product Managers with accurate and timely answers to product-information and technology questions.
- Develop and maintain the sales consultant certification program for dealership staff.
- Track training class attendance for dealerships and staff.
- Work with dealers to build knowledgeable sales teams.
