About The Position

The Auto Press Operator is responsible for operating an automated printing machine at a faster pace than a single-color printing machine. This role involves setting up ink colors, using multiple screens for multi-color prints, loading and adjusting materials, monitoring the printing process, inspecting for quality, and drying printed items. Reliable attendance, teamwork, and adherence to safety policies are essential.

Responsibilities

Handle an automated machine that works at a faster pace than a single-color printing machine
Set up different colors of ink and use multiple screens to produce 2-3 color prints
Load, position and adjust unprinted materials on holding fixtures or in equipment loading and feeding mechanisms
Push buttons, turn handles or move controls and levers to start and control an automated printing machine
Inspect and examine printed products for print clarity, color accuracy, conformance to specifications, and external defects
Monitor feeding, printing, and racking processes of presses to maintain specified operating levels and to detect malfunctions; make any necessary adjustments
Place printed items in ovens to dry or set ink(s)
Support teamwork through active participation and/or by helping team ideas work
Perform duties safely and in accordance with Company safety policies
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by Manager or Supervisor
