Auto Painter
About The Position
Carvana is hiring Auto Painters to work in its high-tech vehicle Inspection Centers. The role involves priming vehicles and performing final sanding before painting, as well as buffing, touch-up work, paint mixing, and airbrushing. Carvana offers training programs for employees joining in entry-level positions, with opportunities for skills and pay to progress. The work takes place in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may involve exposure to hot or cold weather. Employees must use appropriate safety equipment. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of professional automotive painting experience.
- Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Possess a valid driver's license; some positions may be subject to a motor vehicle records check.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
- Ability to use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must pass a complete background check.
Responsibilities
- Prime vehicles and perform final sanding before painting.
- Buff vehicles.
- Perform paint touch-up work.
- Mix paint.
- Perform airbrushing.
