About The Position

The Auto Finance Regional Area Credit Manager oversees all credit operations for auto dealer originated (indirect) consumer loans for multiple geographic markets. This role involves overseeing all credit decisions, handling complex loans, and developing business through dealer relations and customer service. The manager is also responsible for monitoring portfolio compliance and risk, ensuring staff training, and compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations. Recommendations for policy changes to improve effectiveness are also part of the role. The position is exempt, meaning it is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of related experience

  • Oversees all credit decisions, and personally handles the most complex loans.
  • Develops and maintains business in the market through dealer relations and customer service.
  • Monitors portfolio compliance and risk.
  • Ensures all staff are properly trained, and that all policies/procedures and regulations are complied with.
  • Makes recommendations for policy changes to improve effectiveness.
  • Oversees all credit operations for auto dealer originated (indirect) consumer loans for specific markets.
  • Dealer Management – develops and maintains business in the market territories through dealer relations and customer service.
  • Responsible for the approval, denial and negotiation of consumer auto credit applications originated through auto dealers for specific geographic markets.
  • Oversees all credit decisions for assigned markets.
  • Responsible for monitoring portfolio compliance and risk.
  • Ensures all staff are properly trained and that all policies/procedures and regulations are in compliance.
  • Makes recommendations for policy changes to improve effectiveness.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
