About The Position

Carvana is hiring an entry-level Auto Cosmetic Inspector for its vehicle reconditioning operation in Delanco, New Jersey. The inspector identifies cosmetic imperfections and repairs before reconditioning and after the paint process. The role may also involve vehicle preparation tasks such as sanding and masking. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and pays $20.00–$25.00 per hour based on skills and experience, plus a $1 shift differential. The work takes place in a high-tech Inspection Center using state-of-the-art tools. Entry-level employees receive training programs intended to help their skills and pay progress. Work is performed in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may involve exposure to excessive heat or cold. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

Professional automotive preparation experience is sought; no specific minimum duration is stated for this inspector role.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment and sometimes be exposed to excessive heat or cold.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must possess a valid driver's license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must pass a complete background check.
