Technicians must plan work procedures, follow work orders, and may need to remove upholstery, accessories, and electrical components to access damaged areas. They are expected to mend damaged body parts by hammering, filling, welding, and replacing fenders, panels, and grills, ensuring all fits meet industry standards. The job also involves operating various hand and power tools, filing, grinding, and sanding repaired surfaces before handing the vehicle over to the Paint Department. Compliance with all ABRA safety rules, guidelines, and standards is mandatory.
