About The Position

ADESA, a Carvana owned company, operates over 50 locations across the US, providing vehicle services such as repair & reconditioning, and auction remarketing. Our inventory is vast, ranging from retail to commercial vehicles. We foster a collaborative "we" versus "I" culture and operate in a fun, fast-paced, and competitive industry. ADESA is undergoing significant expansion with investments in facilities, sales growth, and inventory. This role reports to the Body Shop or designated Manager and is responsible for preparing damaged vehicles for the painting process, supporting the body shop team to meet daily production goals.

Requirements

High School or GED required
Must be 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements
Ability to use tools such as electric sanders, drills, buffers and air blowers
High attention to detail
Interpersonal skills
Willingness to work in a high production/team environment

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a body shop preferred
1 year automotive/auction experience preferred
May be required to provide sufficient tools to perform the job

Responsibilities

Prepare vehicle for paint process by taping, masking, cleaning and removing parts efficiently and accurately to meet customer expectations.
Maintain a constant and smooth flow of prepped vehicles for the paint process.
Assist with overall general shop duties such as cleaning, driving, organizing vehicle parking and staging.
Communicate professionally with team members and customers.
Resolve customer inquiries in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner; advise management of all complaints or incidents.
Maintain productivity levels as set forth by management.
Maintain equipment and tools properly and advise manager of any needed equipment maintenance or breakdown.
Follow and maintain all safety standards.
Other duties as assigned.
