About The Position

ADESA, a Carvana owned company, is seeking an Auto Body Refinish Tech to join their team. ADESA operates over 50 locations across the US, providing a wide array of vehicle services including repair & reconditioning, auction remarketing, and serving as market hub distribution centers. The company emphasizes a collaborative "we" versus "I" culture and operates in a fun, fast-paced, and competitive industry. ADESA is undergoing a multi-year expansion with significant investments in facilities, sales growth, and inventory. This role reports to the Body Shop or designated Manager and is responsible for performing preparation work on damaged vehicles prior to painting, and supporting the body shop team in achieving daily production goals.

Requirements

  • High School or GED required
  • Must be 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements
  • Ability to use tools such as electric sanders, drills, buffers and air blowers
  • High attention to detail
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work in a high production/team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a body shop preferred
  • 1 year automotive/auction experience preferred
  • May be required to provide sufficient tools to perform the job

Responsibilities

  • Prepare vehicle for paint process by taping, masking, cleaning and remove parts in an efficient and accurate manner to meet customer expectations
  • Maintain a constant and smooth flow of prepped vehicles for the paint process
  • Assist with overall general shop duties such as cleaning, driving, organizing vehicle parking and staging
  • Communicate in a professional manner with team members and customers. Set a good personal example of attitude and performance
  • Resolve any internal and external customer inquiries in a friendly, courteous and professional manner; advise management of all complaints or incidents
  • Maintain productivity levels as set forth by management.
  • Maintain equipment and tools properly and advise manager of any needed equipment maintenance or breakdown
  • Follow and maintain all safety standards
  • Other duties as assigned
