About The Position

Haley Toyota of Roanoke is looking for an Auto Body Shop Technician. At Haley Auto, we help restore vehicles to like-new condition in our fully equipped collision repair shop. We work with all vehicle makes, all vehicle models, and all insurance companies. We take care of dents, major body work, windshields, and auto body painting.

Requirements

• Experience with all vehicle makes
• Experience with all vehicle models
• Experience with all insurance companies
• Proficiency in dent repair
• Proficiency in major body work
• Proficiency in windshield repair
• Proficiency in auto body painting
• Ability to assess damage
• Ability to employ repair techniques (straightening, welding, filling)
• Ability to replace panels
• Ability to remove rust and corrosion
• Ability to prepare surfaces for painting (sanding, priming, filling)
• Ability to apply paint and clear coat
• Ability to polish and buff vehicles
• Ability to work with car lights and windows

Nice To Haves

• Experience with customizing vehicles by adding aftermarket parts or modifying existing ones.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the extent of damage to a vehicle's body after an accident or other incidents.
• Employ various techniques to repair damaged panels, including straightening, welding, and filling.
• Replace damaged or rusted panels with new ones.
• Remove rust and corrosion from vehicle bodies.
• Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, priming, and applying filler.
• Apply paint and clear coat to vehicle bodies, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
• Polish and buff the vehicle to restore its shine.
• Some technicians also work on customizing vehicles by adding aftermarket parts or modifying existing ones.
• Some technicians also work with car lights and windows.
