About The Position

Haley Ford Collision Center is seeking Auto Body Shop Technicians to restore vehicles to like-new condition in their fully equipped collision repair shop. They work with all vehicle models, all insurance companies, and handle dents, major body work, windshields, and auto body painting. Haley Automotive Group, Virginia's oldest Automotive Group with 11 stores across Richmond, Roanoke, and Farmville, is experiencing accelerated growth and is adding multiple body shop technicians and painters to three of their Richmond locations: Ford, Buick GMC Midlothian Turnpike, and Toyota Certified Pre-Owned Center.

Requirements

Experience in auto body repair
Proficiency in repair techniques such as straightening, welding, and filling
Ability to replace damaged or rusted panels
Skill in rust removal and surface preparation for painting
Experience in painting and finishing vehicle bodies
Familiarity with working on car lights and windows

Responsibilities

Evaluate the extent of damage to a vehicle's body after an accident or other incidents.
Employ various techniques to repair damaged panels, including straightening, welding, and filling.
Replace damaged or rusted panels with new ones.
Remove rust and corrosion from vehicle bodies.
Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, priming, and applying filler.
Apply paint and clear coat to vehicle bodies, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
Polish and buff the vehicle to restore its shine.
Customize vehicles by adding aftermarket parts or modifying existing ones.
Work with car lights and windows.
