About The Position

The Autism Support Professional provides overnight support to people living in a residence in Elmont, NY. This position is 30 hours per week, Thursday through Saturday, from 11 p.m. to 9 a.m. The role involves providing oversight, implementing Person Centered Residential Habilitation Plans, and delivering training and support according to each person's individualized program plan. The employee must be flexible to work beyond the scheduled shift when required and drive agency vans safely.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience assisting persons with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities and/or Autism.
• Ability to support people with Autism and people who may display challenging behaviors.
• Successfully complete the medication administration (AMAP) course and annual recertification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn how to document services electronically.
• Valid driver's license required.

Nice To Haves

• SCIP certification preferred.
