Requirements
- Must be able to read and write in English
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery. This is normally acquired through two to five years of manufacturing experience in a tannery or a previous Quality Assurance position
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
- Availability to work all shifts, flexible hours, flexible days/evenings to include weekends and holidays
- Conceptual/Analytical thinking
- Attention to detail
- Problem solving
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
- Self-motivated and self-starter
- Maintain confidentiality
- Basic computer skills
- Understanding of various quality aspects
- Able to lift hides up to 100#
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities
- Input quality attributes and monitor product quality throughout the production process
- Communicate quality concerns, trends, and issues with Production personnel and leadership
- Collect, evaluate, and document daily samples
- Promote and support a safe work environment, including compliance with all PPE requirements
- Provide departmental coverage as needed
- Participate in cross-training and become proficient in all Quality Assurance functions
- Maintain accurate quality records and documentation
- Knowledgeable in Hide Brand Sortation
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management
