About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring compliance to quality and food safety requirements and will work directly with QA management. The job is an individual contributor with no direct reports. The position requires the ability to review QA/HACCP paperwork, interact with various team members and government officials, perform routine quality checks and audits, develop databases, and understand food production processes and safety procedures.

Requirements

• 0-1 years of experience in related field is preferred.
• Competence in QA transactions, in SAP, Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Understanding of GMP’s, SSOP’s, and HACCP principles.
• High School Diploma and/or equivalent work experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Review QA/HACCP paperwork used in all production departments and fill out correctly.
• Be able to interact with and communicate with various team members in management, QA, and production as well as government officials, and 3rd party contractors.
• Perform all QA Tech responsibilities for routine quality checks, and audits on production, the dock, and the facility.
• Develop and maintain databases as needed.
• Qualified to perform QA sampling and testing methods.
• Understand of the processes and methods involved in food production.
• This role has the responsibility to understand and places in practice appropriate safety procedures. This responsibility is achieved through education, training, use of protective equipment (as applicable) and by following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
