About The Position

The Auditor, Quality Assurance helps ensure products meet quality standards before they are shipped to customers. The role identifies and addresses quality issues to support product integrity, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. It typically reports to the Manager, Quality Assurance and Facilities and is based at Carter’s Stockbridge Distribution Center.

Requirements

• Experience using tablet and PC applications such as MS Office web applications, MS Teams, and project management tools.
• Strong and accurate mathematical skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to accurately read a measuring tape; a test may be given.
• Good color perception; a test may be given.
• Ability to operate a manual pallet jack to move work.
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds, scan with RF equipment, bend, twist, and remain on one’s feet for shifts up to 12 hours long.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with supervisors, managers, and peers.
• Flexibility to work overtime and comply with blackout periods during peak periods, when vacation or personal time is not allowed.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma.
• Familiarity with statistical sampling, AQL tables, and product inspection.
• Apparel construction experience, through home or industrial sewing.
• Apparel retail experience may be accepted in lieu of sewing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform random audits of incoming shipments, evaluating product workmanship, packaging and labeling, shading, product integrity, and measurements.
• Document audit findings accurately and maintain detailed records of non-conforming products in the QA database.
• Conduct metal and neck stretch audits to ensure conformity with CPSC guidelines and requirements.
• Continuously train and maintain knowledge of the Carter’s safety manual and defect classifications.
• Locate pallets using an RF scanner.
• Perform additional work or assist with quality-related projects as assigned by the QA Supervisor or Coordinator.
