About The Position
Cherry Bekaert is seeking an Audit Staff member to join their team. This role involves working on a variety of audit engagements under the supervision of accounting professionals. The Audit Staff will engage with clients from diverse industries, communicate with project leaders and clients, and develop technical accounting skills through financial statement audits. Responsibilities include preparing audit checklists, adjusting journal entries, gaining business writing experience by preparing financial statements with clients, and organizing workpapers for client files. The position also requires performing other essential duties as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- CPA certified or the eligibility to work toward obtaining a CPA license
- Proficiency with computers and spreadsheet software programs
- Ability to travel to client sites as needed, including frequent same-day travel and occasional out-of-town travel
- Ability to work moderate overtime throughout the year with heavier overtime required during certain business cycles
- Demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States
