About The Position
Cherry Bekaert is hiring an Audit Senior for its Coral Gables or Ft. Lauderdale office. This is a hybrid role. The Audit Senior develops audit approaches, considers engagement efficiency and client-specific risks, and oversees staff during engagements. The role also includes financial statement preparation or review, general audit procedures, researching technical issues, and handling other engagement duties assigned by supervisory personnel. The firm seeks someone with a passion for superior client service, integrity, project management abilities, and leadership skills. Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in public accounting.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- CPA certified or eligible to work toward obtaining a CPA license.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Demonstrated passion for superior client service, uncompromising integrity, project management, and leadership.
- Eligibility to work in the United States; the firm will not provide work sponsorship.

Responsibilities
- Dialogue over engagement efficiencies and client-specific risks.
- Develop audit approaches for engagement teams.
- Instruct and oversee fellow A&A staff throughout engagements.
- Broaden technical knowledge through review of complex client transactions.
- Prepare and/or review financial statements.
- Complete general audit procedures, including coordinating audit closing communications, drafting client correspondence, and resolving open items.
- Research technical issues using online tools.
- Perform other duties as needed on engagements and as assigned by supervisory personnel.
