About The Position

Cherry Bekaert is seeking a Remote Audit Senior Associate to join their Core Audit practice. In this role, you will lead audit engagements for clients across a variety of industries while collaborating virtually with managers, partners, and engagement teams nationwide. As a Senior Associate, you will lead audit engagements, including planning, execution, and completion, for clients in various industries. You will collaborate closely with audit managers, partners, and engagement team members in a remote setting, develop audit approaches, and engage in discussions around engagement efficiencies and client-specific risks. You will also instruct and oversee Audit & Assurance staff throughout audit engagements, broaden technical expertise through the review of complex client transactions, and prepare and/or review financial statements. Additionally, you will complete general audit procedures, including coordination of audit closing communications, drafting client correspondence, and resolving open items. You will research technical accounting and auditing issues using online tools and perform additional engagement-related duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of public accounting experience
  • Passion for delivering superior client service

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to guide and support team members in a remote environment
