About The Position
We're currently partnered with a growing public accounting firm in the Florissant, MO area that is looking to bring on an Audit Manager to help lead and rebuild its audit function. This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants more than just running engagements—you'll play a key role in shaping, developing, and growing an audit department from the ground up.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 5+ years of audit experience in public accounting
- At least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards and financial reporting
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage engagements
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
Nice To Haves
- CPA or Master's degree
Responsibilities
- Leading and managing audit engagements from planning through completion
- Developing and implementing audit processes, procedures, and best practices
- Ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations
- Serving as a key advisor to clients on audit, financial reporting, and risk matters
- Recruiting, mentoring, and developing audit staff
- Collaborating with firm leadership to build and expand audit services
- Driving process improvement and innovation within the audit function
