Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Active CPA license
  • 5+ years of public accounting audit experience
  • Experience leading audit engagements
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and GAAS
  • Experience managing client relationships
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supervising and mentoring staff
  • Industry experience within nonprofit, government, healthcare, manufacturing, construction, or higher education sectors
  • Business development or client growth experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead audit and assurance engagements from planning through completion
  • Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously
  • Review financial statements, workpapers, and engagement deliverables
  • Ensure compliance with professional standards and firm quality requirements
  • Resolve complex accounting and auditing issues
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients
  • Develop and maintain strong long-term client relationships
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and business insights
  • Identify opportunities to provide additional value and services
  • Deliver exceptional client service and responsiveness
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop audit professionals
  • Review staff work and provide coaching and feedback
  • Assist with staff training and professional development
  • Foster collaboration and accountability across engagement teams
  • Help build the next generation of firm leaders
  • Research accounting and auditing matters
  • Apply GAAP and GAAS guidance to client situations
  • Monitor professional standards and regulatory developments
  • Maintain high standards of technical quality and engagement execution
