About The Position

We are currently evaluating candidates for Audit internship opportunities beginning in mid-January. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals and gain hands-on experience serving clients across a variety of industries. We are looking for students who are eager to learn, organized, professional, and interested in gaining practical accounting experience in a public accounting environment. Internships will require a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with automated accounting systems is a plus
  • Willingness to work additional hours during peak periods
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25%

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Seniors, Managers, and Partners on a variety of audit and assurance engagements.
  • Gain hands-on experience with different areas of the audit process, including performing tests of controls.
  • Confirm and test account balances and activity.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements, note disclosures, and related reports.
  • Apply knowledge of GAAP and GAAS to real-world engagements.
  • Learn and utilize current accounting and audit technology in a paperless environment.
  • Work collaboratively with engagement teams and client personnel.
