Audit Coordinator - Inbound/Outbound Calls Representative (Post Audit)
About The Position
EXL Health is hiring an Audit Coordinator - Inbound/Outbound Calls Representative for its Post-Audit Team. This fully remote role supports communication with healthcare providers and helps resolve provider inquiries. The coordinator handles inbound and outbound calls, email and voicemail workflows, and escalations while meeting quality and productivity standards and protecting confidential information under HIPAA requirements. The posted base pay range is $15–$21 per hour; final offers depend on factors including skills, experience, pay equity, work location, market conditions, and role scope.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Prior customer service or high-volume call center experience.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Claims Analyst or Claims Auditor in a managed care setting, such as a hospital, health plan, or physician office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to recommend process improvements and ways to increase efficiency.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Comfort working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with various software programs.

Responsibilities
- Handle inbound provider calls, record details, and resolve issues efficiently and professionally.
- Monitor and respond to internal and external emails within established service levels.
- Manage mailboxes, assign emails, monitor aging emails, and create reports for management.
- Log and return voicemails within established service levels.
- Make outbound calls to help providers navigate the portal, verify contact details, and confirm receipt of request letters.
- Escalate unresolved issues to management and follow up as needed.
- Communicate and report workflow or system issues to leadership.
- Meet quality and productivity standards.
- Uphold HIPAA and confidentiality requirements in all interactions.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the post-audit process and company-wide programs.
