The Audit Associate position will be responsible for performing procedures such as audit testing, data analysis, and assisting with preparation of deliverables as assigned under the supervision of their Manager. This position is located in Alexandria, VA. Responsibilities are below: • Foster an efficient, innovative, and team-oriented work environment • Execute the day-to-day audit activities of the engagement • Request and analyze audit related data • Demonstrate awareness and knowledge of Federal Government audit and financial management requirements • Assist in drafting and preparing project deliverables • Utilize technology to share knowledge with team members, develop skills, and continually learn • Must be a self-starter, self-motivated, and results-oriented • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of accounting and auditing concepts and apply them to client situations • Demonstrate professionalism and competence in a client environment • Performing substantive audit testing of financial transactions • Review and evaluate internal controls and related supporting documentation • Contribute to the development of findings and recommendations • Document the results of audit procedures performed in accordance with professional standards and firm quality control requirements
