About The Position

Audiovisual Design & Integration Specialist (Senior or Lead) for Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) / Intelligence Systems (IS) based in Herndon, VA. The team in the Washington, DC Metro region designs, configures, and operates advanced AV systems for U.S. Government customers.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret/SCI U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
  • Level 4: 5+ years of related systems design and integration experience, or equivalent education and experience
  • Experience in setup/install and support of large-scale audiovisual systems.
  • Experience coordinating or leading schedule driven tasks.
  • Experience directly interfacing with customers
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Level 5: 10+ years of related systems design and integration experience, or equivalent education and experience
  • Associate degree or higher in a relevant field
  • AVIXA certification
  • Hands-on experience with DSP platforms such as Biamp, QSC, or similar
  • Proficiency with control systems including Crestron, Extron, or Thinklogical
  • Experience using design and documentation tools like AutoCAD and Visio

Responsibilities

  • Survey, plan, design, configure, and test multi-classification AV solutions tailored for government customers.
  • Create custom audiovisual system designs, including DSP layouts and system configurations.
  • Participate in customer stakeholder meetings to gather, document, and validate system requirements.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend technology solutions to address customer needs.
  • Prepare detailed system engineering documentation such as signal flow diagrams, line diagrams, bills of materials, rack elevations, and cable plant layouts.
  • Support and lead onsite AV system installations and configuration phases.
  • Collaborate closely with customer facility teams, subcontractors, and vendors during installation as needed.
  • Assist in developing end-user training materials, as well as operations and maintenance plans.
  • Conduct thorough in-house testing and perform on-site system commissioning at client locations.
  • Continuously enhance industry knowledge and technical skills through ongoing training, certifications, and review of relevant trade publications.
