The Department of Audiology at San José State University is pleased to announce a search for a full-time temporary faculty beginning in August 2026. This is a renewable temporary faculty position. The initial appointment will include duties as the director and teaching as assigned and depending on department and student needs. Assignment as director is determined by the appropriate administrator and may be discontinued at any time. The Audiology Clinic Director is a full-time faculty leadership position that provides clinical, operational, and strategic leadership for the SJSU Audiology Clinic. The position supports patient care, clinical education, community engagement, and the long-term sustainability of the clinic. This position requires a substantial on-campus presence to provide direct clinical services, oversee clinic operations, support student learning, and engage with faculty, staff, patients, and community partners. This position leads efforts to strengthen clinic infrastructure, expand patient access and clinical learning opportunities, develop operational systems, build referral networks and community partnerships, and support the growth of clinic services. The Clinic Director reports to the Department Chair and works collaboratively with the Clinical Education Director, faculty, staff, students, university administration, and external stakeholders. Performance shall be evaluated by the Department Chair based on effectiveness in clinic operations, strategic development, patient access, clinical service, clinical education and student supervision, partnership development, and contributions to the growth and sustainability of the SJSU Audiology Clinic.
