About The Position

North Wind Services (NWS) is seeking an Audio-Visual (AV) Technical Support Coordinator to join the Information Technology Operations (ITO) Division of the Livermore Information Technology (LivIT) Program. This role involves planning, coordinating, and producing live-streamed and video events, as well as diagnosing, resolving, and maintaining complex AV equipment and systems. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support onsite and remote events, including pre-event dry runs, event-day technical support, and regular equipment health checks. This position supports the missions of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a US DOE Q-level security clearance.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US DOE Q-level security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electronics, mechanical, industrial, manufacturing, computer engineering or electro-optic technology, or the equivalent combination of education and previous relevant experience.
  • Highly advanced experience in troubleshooting A/V systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience in developing technical process documentation and best practices.
  • Advanced experience in video and audio recording.
  • Proven success in working effectively and collaboratively with team members and all levels of staff and management.
  • Must be willing to work irregular hours.

Responsibilities

  • Work with a team to run event audio visual production workstreams, including live streaming via Webex, MS Teams, and MS Stream.
  • Collaborate with other team members to deliver results.
  • Work with a team to provide videographic guidance and manage technical execution of events including preparation, pre-checklist, design, layout, equipment, production execution, postproduction evaluation/follow-up.
  • Work with internal colleagues to produce proposal decks and activation/execution guides.
  • Setup and perform testing and problem diagnosis for projectors, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, and displays for on-site and off-site meetings and events.
  • Coordinate with AV equipment OEMs for resolution/workarounds, when required.
  • Assist with company meetings/functions that require use of AV infrastructure (audio, video conferencing, webcasting, visual display or projection, and control system (AMX, Cisco) operations.
  • Perform system testing to ensure equipment and room functionality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
