About The Position

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring an Audio-Visual Technician. This is a Fulltime - Contract to Hire position with a duration of 3+ months. The location is Greenville, SC. As an Audio-Visual Technician, you will be responsible for leading structural mounting, rigging, and setup of projectors, motorized screens, displays, video walls, and loudspeakers. You will also be comfortable with building, wiring, and dressing control/DSP racks to professional standards, loading configurations and firmware for Crestron, Extron, and Q-SYS processors. Additionally, you will be responsible for pulling, terminating, and testing low-voltage cabling (Cat6/6A, fiber optics, shielded audio, high-bandwidth video), deploying and configuring networked AV devices, validating connections, PoE delivery, and IP addressing. Interpreting architectural blueprints and AV line drawings, managing site inventory, and coordinating with contractors are key aspects of this role. You will also mentor Level 1 and 2 installers, providing onsite leadership, and conduct commissioning, including signal flow testing, gain staging, and hardware verification for system readiness.

Requirements

4–8 years of verifiable commercial AV installation experience (rack building, rough-in, trim-out).
Mastery of professional tools, rigging hardware, multi-meters, tone/probe kits, and advanced testing equipment (Fluke/OTDR).
Strong knowledge of TIA/EIA standards, InfoComm/AVIXA installation standards, and NEC codes for low-voltage cabling.
Valid driver’s license with clean record.
High School Diploma or GED.

AVIXA CTS or CTS-I certification.
Q-SYS Level 1 or 2 certification.
Crestron/Extron installation certifications.
Dante Levels 1–3 certification.
Manufacturer-specific hardware training.

Responsibilities
